When we started chasing the dream of a better ride, we could never have predicted what we’d be riding some 38 years later. But the realization of Eagle Transmission remains true to day one. And while we’re never satisfied, we’re taking a moment to celebrate with the 1987 Collection. The limited edition groupset features a combination of T-Type Ecosystem components of which we’re most proud, all in an exclusive silver finish. The Eagle Transmission 1987 Collection takes the most advanced aluminum crankset we’ve ever made, and pairs it with our most high-performing and most accurate powermeter. While the cassette’s architecture is rooted in the design of our lightest weight MTB cassette, XX SL, we were able to shave off an additional 25 grams without sacrificing performance or durability. Same 10-52T range, same renowned best shift under load quality. The 1987 Collection T-Type chain features hollow links, hollow pins, and a Hard Chrome coating pushing the strength-to-weight ratio to an unprecedented level. Unrivaled shifting performance, unprecedented strength. The 1987 Eagle Transmission derailleur features AXS connectivity, the radical Full Mount, and a limited silver colourway. Two AXS Pod Ultimate Controllers complete the kit, giving you an organized cockpit and the freedom of left and right-hand customization. This is the 1987 Collection. The dream delivered.
