Inspection & Replacement Program

Shimano has launched a voluntary inspection and replacement program for some bonded 11-speed HOLLOWTECH II road cranksets produced before July 2019 for a possible bonding separation issue. - Shimano

This program affects the following models: Dura-Ace FC-R9000/FC-R9100(P) and Ultegra FC-R6800, FC-R8000. Please refer to the image below to locate the production code of your crankset. Affected production codes are:

KF, KG, KH, KI, KJ, KK, KL

LA, LB, LC, LD, LE, LF, LG, LH, LI, LJ, LK, LL

MA, MB, MC, MD, ME, MF, MG, MH, MI, MJ, MK, ML,

NA, NB, NC, ND, NE, NF, NG, NH, NI, NJ, NK, NL,

OA, OB, OC, OD, OE, OF, OG, OH, OI, OJ, OK, OL,

PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF, PG, PH, PI, PJ, PK, PL,

QA, QB, QC, QD, QE, QF, QG, QH, QI, QJ, QK, QL,

For riders whose crankset are part of the affected batch, please fill up the form below. A timeslot will be communicated to you for you to send the bicycle to the store. For cranksets which include built-in power meters (e.g. Giant Power Pro, Stages, 4iiii), the technician will advise further at the point of drop-off.
